Articulation of clear historical object/phenomena/event of study and the questions that the project will seek to explore. Connect to current health issue if appropriate.

Research

Evidence of engagement with and analysis of historical scholarship that has influenced the work, for example: as a literature review paper that analyzes that literature; the background section  (with reference list) for presentations and original research papers; an annotated bibliography for podcasts/creative projects. At least one key book from this semesters syllabus should be read.

Analysis

Analysis of the way that this history of racism/structural racism has impacted some aspect of health care delivery (presentations may link with current data; papers will have a conclusion that points in this direction; creative works may require half page summary explaining how the work engages with this question).

These points are awarded for either the clarity of the written expression OR the creative energy that has gone into the final project.
