QuickTime & iMovie
Back to DIY Menu |
QuickTime
QuickTime should be available on your Mac, as it is built into the operating system. You can find it under the Applications tab, or complete a spotlight search. Once you open QuickTime, there will not be a screen that pops up. Don't be alarmed. You will simply see your desktop. Under File, chose New Movie Recording.
From here, a video screen will pop up and you can select the red button at the bottom to start recording. To finish your recording, click the same button (which should now be a grey square). Be sure to save your file.
iMovie
You certainly don't have to use iMovie as your editing tool, so feel free to use your QuickTime video in another application if you have a preference. iMovie has several templates available to enhance your video, and it's easy to edit.
