Desktop Client Settings
To review the settings of the Zoom desktop client installed on your computer, open Zoom and click your profile icon at the top right. (Note that you should see the word LICENSED next to your name. If you don't, reach out to Emory IT Links to an external site..)
Click the Settings gear icon. These settings will be the default when you use the Zoom program, but you can change them at any time. A few options are highlighted below.
- Video: Test your video and change video settings. (For more information, visit Video Settings & Enhancements.)
- Audio: Test your audio and change audio settings. (It is recommended to turn on Mute my microphone when joining a meeting.)
- Chat: You can enable Play sound when I receive a new message. (For more information, visit Chat.)
- Recording: You can select where on your computer recordings will be saved and manage your cloud recordings here. (For more information, visit Recording and Sharing Recordings.)
