Copying and Importing Content
Copying and Importing
There are several ways you can import content as you prepare your Canvas course: copying from an existing course you created in Canvas, importing a content package from another learning management system, and importing content from Canvas Commons.

Examples and Template
We have created three versions of an introductory philosophy course to model course design and organization possibilities using Canvas tools. Please follow the links below to view them.
We have also created a template that you may import into your course as scaffolding for content creation. Please visit the template first to determine whether you want to import it.

You can download the template above from Commons. Use the Commons link in the global navigation menu, search for 'FOT Template' and uncheck the Show Public Resources toggle. Click the title and check out the materials. Then import the template to your sandbox course using the check box menu at the right side (be sure only to check the box for one destination course).
